Kir Royale
Created in France, the kir royale is a simple mix of Champagne and crème de cassis. This blackcurrant liqueur originated in Dijon, France, and lends the drink its sweeter notes. Add a few fresh berries in for good measure.
125 ml (1/2 cup) crème de cassis
1 bottle chilled champagne
8 frozen blackberries, to garnish
Divide the crème de cassis among eight champagne flutes. Top with chilled Champagne and garnish with a frozen blackberry.
