Thanksgiving, November, winter, holidays, not yet things actively on my mind. Things here on the East coast are still a bit haulted for me in October, pre-storm Sandy, before everything that's happened. But never the less, I just looked at my calendar hanging on the wall (you know the one showing me a full month rather than just the agenda on my phone). Thanksgiving is two weeks away! Just two weeks away. I'm shocked. I mean, I know it comes up quickly after Halloween but, wow. So I called up my mom to decide what we're planning this year (and to provide her with a distraction from the power outage).
We each have favorites to make, but we always finish the meal with major components from Zabar's. I know of friends who have their entire Thanksgiving sent to them by Zabar's - (the Complete Thansgiving Dinner for 10 is very tempting) but personally I like to cook certain dishes for Thanksgiving dinner and have others (maybe more difficult to prepare) sent to me from Zabar's.
Here's a look at the Complete Thanksgiving Dinner for 10. You can order it now and schedule the ship date for Thanksgiving. It includes: Free Range Roast Turkey, Chestnut Stuffing, Homemade Giblet Gravy, Homemade Cranberry Salad, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, String Beans with Almonds, Assorted Dinner Rolls, and a Traditional Apple Bundt Cake.
Of course if you want to pick and choose your dishes have a look at the soups and starters, side dishes, and main courses and pick your favorites.
