Here are some demos happening in our cheese department. Stop by the store, have a taste, and take one of these delicious products home from Zabar’s to share with friends and family…or keep it all to yourself.
Cochran Farm presents two of their most popular cheeses: St. Johnsville and Mohawk Mist. Both are Loire-Valley style goat milk cheeses made from milk supplied by local Amish farmers
Formed as a co-operative farm in the 1970’s, Il Forteto has become a very popular Italian brand. They will be sampling their Boschetto as well as their Tuscan 30 day sheep Pecorino.

Divina Olives, a regular sample staple at Zabar’s, will be sampling a wide range of their stuffed olives and olive mixes.

5 Spoke Creamery, a NY company with a farm in Goshen NY, will be sampling their ‘Porter,’ one of their new products. A lightly pressed semi-hard wheel with pleasant buttery notes, this Porter is 5 Spoke’s take on a traditional French Tomme de Savoie.

The French Cheese Board will be at Zabar’s sampling a selection of French Goat Cheeses on Monday, November 23rd. Stop by, grab a sample, and explore the goat cheeses of France.

Fri & Sat 11/28-11/29
The weekend of the 28th will have Istara at Zabar’s sampling their smooth and sweet French Sheep Milk cheeses. Aged for at least 70 days, these cheeses are delicious exports from the Basque region and pair nicely with jams as well as other savory appetizers.
