Ok, I know that Deviled Eggs are straight out of the 50’s – but since I am in my 50’s I must admit to loving deviled eggs. These are perfect for a Holiday Party.

They are simple, easy to make and wonderful. I top some with red caviar, some with black caviar, and I leave some just plain. I like the combination of colors on the platter.

I promise you your guests won’t laugh at you – they’ll be too busy eating!

What is DOP?  DOP stands for “Denominazione di Origine Protetta” and is a way to guarantee that the milk of the cheese and production are done in a certain location in Italy. It is mark of optimal quality and high standards.  These great cheeses will be featured throughout the event to showcase Italy’s great cheesemakers.

A Review of (the best) Chocolate

I just came across this review of the NY Chocolate Show and Comptoir du Cacao.  I couldn't agree with this review more - this chocolate is exquisite, perhaps the best I've ever enjoyed.

One of my favorite discoveries was Comptoir du Cacao, a company that sells its artisan chocolates made in the countryside outside of Paris locally at Zabar’s. In addition to a more conventional range of products, it sells “les croquants noir,” a chocolate lozenge that is amazingly creamy and slightly crunchy at the same time.

The 72 percent cocoa mixture is responsible for the creaminess, and the subtle crunch is a result of the judicious addition of ground pistachios and crumbled Breton butter cookies.
