A Sweet Challah for Rosh Hashanah Every year I bake challah for the holidays. There is something about
the smell of bread baking. I also must admit an intense sense of pride
in putting fresh baked bread on my holiday table. This recipe makes two
loaves. At my house left over challah becomes the best French toast
ever the next morning.
I am really not a baker. I do not
enjoy precise measuring and timing. I tend to cook more by feel. This
is a very simple and forgiving recipe – so, even if you’ve never made a
challah before you should be able to create a perfect bread.
